Lighting Design for Events, Concerts & Live Productions
Flight Event develops distinctive lighting designs for events, concerts, festivals and live productions. From the initial creative idea and lighting concept through planning, programming and delivery, we create light that brings architecture, stage, artists and atmosphere together.
Creative design meets technical understanding and extensive experience in event production.
Why professional lighting design?
Professional lighting design turns light into a creative medium. It builds atmosphere, directs attention and supports the dramaturgy of an event. Colour, contrast, movement and lighting moods are precisely aligned with the stage, architecture, artists and content.
Flight Event develops individual lighting concepts for concerts, festivals, shows, corporate events and live productions. Design and technical planning work together from the outset—from choosing suitable positions and fixtures through programming and previsualisation to on-site delivery.
The result is not light for its own sake, but a coherent visual concept that connects content, space and staging.
Lighting design creates impact and atmosphere
Light shapes how spaces, stages and content are perceived. Brightness, colour, contrast, movement and visual focus are used deliberately to create moods, highlight dramatic moments and guide the audience’s attention.
A well-designed lighting concept considers not only the stage, but the entire visual environment of a production—from architecture and scenography to video, cameras and the audience.
A professional lighting concept considers:
-
-
- Atmosphere & spatial impact
- Dramaturgy & visual focus
- Artists, content & staging
- Architecture & scenography
- Interaction with video, sound & stage
- Camera & broadcast requirements
-
The result is lighting design that does not call attention to itself—it creates impact.

Lighting design: frequently asked questions
A lighting designer develops the visual concept of a production: atmosphere, colour, contrast, movement and the way attention is directed. Flight Event combines this creative work with technical planning, previsualisation, programming and on-site delivery.
Ideally during concept development, before staging, equipment and production schedules are fixed. This allows the design to be coordinated with the available technical options, camera positions and technical direction.
Lighting design defines the creative intent and visual language. Lighting technology provides and operates the equipment needed to realise that design. Both disciplines work together throughout planning, programming and delivery.
Previsualisation uses a three-dimensional model to review lighting positions, looks and cue sequences before the physical build. Flight Event’s Mobile PreViz Studio supports this preparation at the production location.
Concerts, tours, festivals, live shows, corporate events and trade shows all have different visual requirements. The design is adapted to the content, stage, venue, audience and any camera or broadcast requirements.
