EXPERIENCED PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

Production management means keeping the full picture in view when many people, departments and processes come together. Since 2002, we have supported live productions and events from preparation and coordination through to on-site delivery.

STRUCTURE THAT WORKS

Clear responsibilities, reliable schedules and direct communication form the basis of every production. We coordinate crews, suppliers, technical departments and production workflows so that information reaches the people who need it.

Production management: frequently asked questions

What does a production manager do?

A production manager brings together information, schedules, people, suppliers and operational workflows. The role establishes clear responsibilities and coordinates the agreed scope from preparation through to on-site delivery.

When is an external production manager useful?

When many parties are involved, an internal team needs additional capacity, or a production moves between dates and venues. Support can cover a particular phase or the wider production process; the scope is agreed before work begins.

Which departments and teams are coordinated?

Depending on the brief, this can include technical departments, crew, suppliers, logistics and interfaces with the organiser and artist production. For operations at the stage, production management works closely with stage management.

How does production management differ from technical direction?

Production management coordinates the overall operational process. Technical direction focuses on technical requirements, departments and delivery. Responsibilities and decision-making authority are defined to suit the production.
